Spain’s weekly lottery La Primitiva

La Primitiva is a Spanish lottery that is often mixed up with El Gordo. They are both held by the same corporation. La Primitiva is the weekly Spanish lottery with draws every Thursday and Saturday. You will have to pick 6 numbers out of 49 to complete your ticket.

The “Reintegro” number gives you a new ticket for the next draw. It also determines if you have won the first-tier prize, for which you need the 6 main numbers and the “Reintegro” number.

That number will be chosen automatically when you buy a new ticket. If you were to buy a ticket online (which you can only do from Spain!), then you could pick your R number yourself, but because of the fact that we buy our tickets through a local lottery agent, the “R” number cannot be chosen manually on our website. Your “R” number will be on your ticket though.

The “C” number is an additional number drawn, for the third-tier price. Only if you have 5 numbers correctly, does the “C” number come into play. If your 6th number matches the “C” number, you win a higher prize.

El Gordo, on the other side, is the Christmas version of this same lottery. This lottery works in a completely different way, and there is only one draw per year.

If you would like to buy a ticket for La Primitiva from the UK you can do it here on our site. Use our random numbers generator, or pick your numbers yourself.
